Temporary Visa Permnent Settling

How many of us came to USA just to stay for few weeks? How many of came here on business visa for few months? How many of us came to here just to explore/visit? How many of us came here just as visitors/tourists? Well the answer would be many of us ..rather MOST OF US.

H1/L1 petition should not have been named "temporary work permit" cuz you make it perment one eventually :-)
After all what is it here which makes most people in world come and settle here? Is the MONEY, the work culture or the life style or the career opportunities or the business opportunities? Or the comfort living? Whatever it is people do come and settle here. Fundamentalists may term it as "Brain Drain", Socialists may term it as "Westernisation", or some may term it as "Globalization". Whatever it is but people like to come and stay here initially by choice later may be force(?)
I feel most of the people come n stay here because of the freedom u get, free from all family bonding or social bonding, free from all restrictions with added extra opportunities to make money (currency conversion). You get to do whatever u feel like doing. Like higher eduction, business opportunity, Enjoying fun filled out door activities, Night life or Downtown party life, etc.
Typically people come here for earning some quick bucks and plan to go back their country to live rest of the life comfortably, plan to buy some property or clear some debts etc. Initially they will spend some time here then in late twenties or early thirties people get marry. Couple of years down the line there will be kids too. In the mid life crisis many might want go back to their country but they would continue to stay because of spouse or kids. They get the thousands of reasons for themselves to continue to stay Children's future, children's eduction, good work domain etc etc. Unless big recession or deep depression life goes on ....Phase comes such that you like it or not u end up in staying here ......... ಅಲ್ಲಿದೆ ನಮ್ಮನೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ .... :-)
